I grew up on the South Carolina coast in a small town called Beaufort, where my father was in the Marine Corps and my mother was a Registered Nurse. I left Beaufort to attend college at the University of South Carolina where I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Experimental Psychology with a minor in Sociology. I then moved to Texas for law school, where I met my husband. We both graduated from Texas Wesleyan School of Law (now Texas A&M School of Law) in 2012. While in law school, I volunteered in the school's family law clinic which provided families who could not afford an attorney with free legal representation. The family law clinic allowed me to put faces to real problems and make a difference in people's lives. I was hooked from the first day.

We live in Rowlett with our spoiled dogs and cats. All four of our pets are rescues as we are both passionate about giving abandoned pets a good home. When not working, I enjoy professional baseball, college football, reading, and running with my dog, who is a very enthusiastic Belgian Malinois.
